In general I view watches over 40mm a bit outdated size wise unless it's a . Maybe it is the lug to lug, case or angle of the lugs that makes the DJ 41 look too big. My wrist is 7 inches. I could probably get by with the smooth bezel. But, prefer the fluted bezel. So, the DJ 36 fluted .

My wrist is just over 7 inches and I wear a 36mm Datejust one day and a 43mm dive watch the next. Just slap them on your wrist and don’t fret is my approach!
